- Processing your inquiries about our philanthropic mission and the Millésimes
- Managing your participation in our exclusive events (UNESCO Paris, Crans-Montana)
- Facilitating your charitable contributions to UNESCO World Heritage preservation
- Providing updates on projects funded by the Foundation
- Sending our newsletter (only if you have opted in)
We use your email address solely for communications related to your engagement with the
Foundation or, if desired, to send our quarterly newsletter featuring impact reports and upcoming
events.
We never use your data for commercial purposes. As a Swiss public utility foundation, our
sole mission is preserving World Heritage sites through UNESCO.

- TGE partner foundations when you make a tax-deductible contribution through their
services
- UNESCO when your contribution is transferred to the World Heritage Fund (only the
information required for fund traceability and donor recognition, if you consent)
- Event venues (UNESCO headquarters, Crans-Montana locations) for managing guest
lists and access
In all cases, data transmission is limited to the absolute minimum necessary and is governed by
strict confidentiality agreements.
Your Rights: Access, Correction, Blocking, and Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access all personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information
- Block the use of your data for specific purposes
- Delete your data entirely from our systems
Legal retention requirements: In some cases, deletion may not be immediately possible due to
Swiss foundation law, tax regulations, or contractual obligations (e.g., UNESCO fund
traceability requirements). In such instances, we will block your data instead of deleting it,
ensuring it is no longer actively used.
Marketing communications: You may revoke your consent to receive marketing
communications (newsletters, event invitations) at any time by:

- Guardians of World Heritage (donors): Indefinitely for UNESCO fund traceability and
donor recognition, unless you request deletion where legally permissible
- General inquiries: 2 years after last communication
International Data Transfers
As a foundation operating within the Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) network, your data
may be transferred to our partner foundations.
These transfers occur only when you explicitly choose to make a tax-deductible
contribution through one of these partner foundations. All partner foundations are bound by
European GDPR standards and equivalent data protection regulations.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not
knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently
collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Data Protection Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or
legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by:
